I am a fan of the 3-5-2 formation with two holding central midfielders and three attacking midfielders attacking the wings and centre. I have taken over a team who have been playing a 4-3-3 formation and they are capable of scoring, but also prone to conceding goals.
I invite anyone with any kind of understanding of the tactics behind the 4-3-3 formation to give me an idea as to the best way to approach a game with this formation. I would like to get to know as much as possible about it so that I can address the issues, especially defensively, with this formation as I am hard pressed for time. It would be much simpler to teach the defenders how to defend the goal properly than to teach every player a new discipline and approach with a new formation.
